Why is it so difficult to find CPTG Essential Oils
Making the purest essential oils can be expensive because it might require hundreds or even thousands of pounds of plant material to yield one pound of pure essential oil. For example, Melissa Oil sells for between $9,000 and $15,000 a pound. This might sound expensive, but you would need to understand that it takes 6000 pounds of plant material to product that single pound of essential oil.
Most of the oils that are produced today are used by the perfume industry. They are purchased for their aromatic qualities only. The oils are produced in completely the wrong way for any health benefits to remain. High pressure and temperature along with chemical solvents are often used during the distillation process to extract a greater quantity of oil at a faster pace. These oils can smell very good and cost much less, but they will lack the most important if not all of the chemical constituents necessary to produce a Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oil.
